Don Stacy: Images of Autonomy

Don Stacy has taught at the Insititute of Modern Art of MoMA (1957-69), the School of Visual Art, and the New School (1969-94). His work has been exhibited throughout the U.S., and in Japan, Germany and Switzerland. He was twice the recipient of a Fulbright grant in painting (U. of Paris, 1953-4, U. of Aix-en-Provence, 1954-5). Publications include The Runaway Dot, Experiments in Art, Drawing and Painting from Imagination, as well as articles for the National Encyclopedia, Main Currents in Modern Thought, and the American Journal of Art Therapy. Currently, he runs the Stacy Studio Workshop in New York City.
